How to reverse a car from between two cars in a parking lot?

Posted on May 3rd, 2010 by admin

Greetings:

I having been driving for many years but recently, I realized that I don’t have the method down pat for reversing out of a parking space from between two cars. Parallel parking has some exact steps to it if done properly so I was wondering if this situation might have some exact steps to it to make it easier for the reversing driver. Basically, I definitely want to hit the car on either side of me when doing it so what should I do? Thank you in advance for any information given.

Look at the layout markings and the size of the space

Use your mirrors

Check your position and keep your speed down

Use effective all-round observation

Look out for pedestrians

Reverse with your wheels straight ……….

What cars are good for saving money on gas?

Posted on April 27th, 2010 by admin

I don’t know anything about cars but I plan to start driving soon and I thought I’d start off with this questions. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

http://www.fueleconomy.gov/ to compare cars against each other, as the same test is used on each car.

However, how you drive and how well you maintain your vehicle makes a big difference as well. Speeding, lead foot driving w/hard braking, idling your vehicle, low tire pressure, dirty air filters, extra stuff in the car, etc. can all lower fuel efficiency.

If you don’t want to spend money on gasoline, you’ll have to find a car that uses another fuel, such as diesel (preferrably biodiesel), CNG, or electric.

What is the speed of two railroad cars after they collide?

Posted on April 25th, 2010 by admin

A railroad car of ams m is moving at speed v when it collides with a second railroad car of mas M which is at rest. The two cars lock together instantaneously and move along the track.

What is the speeed of the cars immediatly after the collision?

How would you find it?

v1 – speed of car 1 before collision
m = mass of car 1
M = mass of car 2
v2 = speed of car 2 = 0
v3 = speed of both cars after collision

mv1 +Mv2 = (m+M)v3

v3 = m/(m+M)

What kind of cars can you tow behind a motor home?

Posted on April 23rd, 2010 by admin

My husband delivers motor homes for a living and needs a reliable car to tow behind for return trips home. He doesn’t want to have to disconnect the driveshaft each time as you have to do on some cars, or use a two wheel dolly. This would be for flat towing. Thanks!

Almost any car with a manual transmission will work . However, if he wants an automatic there are limitations on how many miles it can be towed safely without damaging the transmission .Many chose Saturn because they can be towed more miles than most because of the design of their transmission .
