CURE Auto Insurance Ad

Posted on May 9th, 2010 by admin

CURE Auto Insurance Ad that crosses the line re: language. Granted it is surprising and a little humorous but it lowers the line of where vulgarity is acceptable. This one aired during halftime of Rutgers vs USF, October 18, 2007. It was NOT the first time it has been aired. The full ad is a series of 3 mini-ads played one after the other. The first two were tame, then this was the last.

Anyone know a website that compares how cheap cars are to insure?

Posted on May 1st, 2010 by admin

I’m buying a car soon, and I want one that will have low insurance rates and I’m trying to find some sort of graph or charts that just compares models all in one page.

Thanks!!

The best thing to do is to narrow your choices down to about 3-4 cars and them look to Consumer Reports for what they have to say.

Typically, insurance rates will vary from State to State and can even vary by ZIPCODE! It also will depend on the type of car/truck, coverages, limits of liability, and driving record. Some companies run credit scores and MOST run a motor vehicle report and CLUE (Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange) report to see about undisclosed accident involvement.

The best thing to do is call a LOCAL independent agent. Don’t go across town, or to some other city – look for someone CLOSE. Just look in the phone book for the PIA or Big I (Trusted Choice) logos and you will find a professional licensed agent that will be able to help you solve your insurance problems, and give you rate comparisons of several different companies.

An independent insurance agent will normally have a dozen different companies and if he cannot help you, he should be networked with other local agents that can.

In my agency, we have companies that do NOT run a credit score and welcome drivers with "less than perfect" driving records and specialize in youthful operators!

Since it is a NEW car – you will probably have to have it financed, so, you will be compelled (by the lienholder) to carry physical damage "full coverage" on the car. Soooo….stay away from all of the cars that you would LIKE to be driving and settle for something more sedate – don’t mix numbers and letters (300ZX, Z28, 240Z, Z71, M3, Z3 and the like) – instead, lean toward the 4dr sedan like Toyota Camry/Corolla, Nissan Altima. If you want REALLY CHEAP – look at the KIAs and Hyundais – but, you get what you pay for.

Most of the replies on this site say "go to this on-line carrier or that on-line carrier or that 1-800 number" but I’m sure that when you do, you will find some impersonal computer user with a script to work from and you won’t be able to talk with the same person every time you have a problem!

Good luck, drive RESPONSIBLY and I hope this helps!

How do you rent cheap cars in Rome Italy and find cheap accommodations for 3. We have 2 be there for 14 days?

Posted on April 27th, 2010 by admin

need help planning a 14 day tour of Italy for mother sister and I.
-need car rental from Rome to take to Amalfi and back.
-Accomodations in Rome 1 night, Naples 1 night, Capri 1 Night, Amalfi 3 nights, Florence 2 nights, Tuscany 2 nights, Venice 2 nights.
-Transportation (train) from Rome to Florance, Florance to Tuscany, Tuscany to Venice and then Venice back to Rome.

Help I am so screwed. Airfare is already booked and paid for can’t turn back now.
Need help planning a 14 day tour of Italy.
-Need suggestions on where to rent a car to travel from Rome to Amalfi and back.
-Need recomendations on where to stay for the following: Rome 1 night, Naples 1 night, Capri 1 Night, Amalfi 3 nights, Florence 2 nights, Tuscany 2 nights, Venice 2 nights.
-Need advice on what the best method of Transportation (railpass, oneway train ticket) from Rome to Florance, Florance to Tuscany, Tuscany to Venice and then Venice back to Rome would be for the above itinerary.

Any input would be great. Advice from a local or someone who has been would be the best. Airfare is already booked and paid for can not change this trip now.

Hello,

This is a really ambitious plan for travel. 7 cities in 14 days won’t leave a lot of time for sight seeing. If I were you I would pare down the selection of cities to 3, maybe 4 to give yourself more time to look and less time on the train and checking in and out of hotels.

As for hotels, try venere.com to find inexpensive hotels in the major cities and areas of Italy. I don’t know what your budget is but they have hotels for every budget so you should be able to find something.

For transportation, you should take the train everywhere. It is fast and cheap. Check out trenitalia.com for schedules and fares. I would not rent a car in Italy but if you really have to most of the normal car companies rent there. Just pick it up at the airport. Be aware that you will not be able to drive in the city center of Rome. You must have a special pass to do that. If you are caught (they have cameras) you will be fined HUGE.

My suggestion for an itinerary would be to spend 4 days in Rome, 4 days in Amalfi, 1 day in Florence and 3 days in Venice. This covers a lot of area and gives you a chance to relax and enjoy the sights. Otherwise you will spend your whole vacation on the train, checking in and out of hotels and missing all the sights that make this country so wonderful.

Good luck.
