im 19 and have had my license for 2 years and im looking to buy a car. I want a 4 door car but really don’t care what it is as long as it is cheap. So i would like to know if there are any particular cars that are known to have cheaper insurance, thanks.

You want a small, economical car that doesn’t have a big engine, and which has low emissions. I would advise a Kia (piccante).

Anything up to 1.6 litre. Possible a lower end Vauxhall Vectra, or 95-98 Astra. Very cheap to run as well. Unfortunately, younguns get hit hard with insurance these days though, but once you get past the 25 mark, it drops phenominally.

Under 25′s pay heavily unfortunately – well, they make the most claims!
Price goes down on reaching 25 and provided you make no claims, a
