More than 100 females die every day because of metastic breast cancer. Plus over five hundred seventy will be diagnosed every day. Most will be fortunate for the reason that their cancer will be detected early, before it has a chance to metastasize.
When found sufficiently early, cancer of the breast can be properly treated producing a five year survival rate beyond ninety five percent. However, if it is not discovered until it spreads, whether because the woman did not get screening, because no biopsies were performed of the mass in her breast, or because a mammogram or biopsy was misinterpreted, her five year survival rate is substantially reduced.
