I would like to buy a very economical second hand car. Is there such a thing as a web list of economical cars?

An excel spreadsheet would be ideal, so I can search for attributes.

Check out the TOP GEAR website.

You get honest opinons here and there’s economy scales too!!

Economical cars are usually 4 cylinders. They are better than hybrids. Honda, Toyota, Mercedes and Porsche got 4 cylinder cars in USA.

Do you mean economical all round? If so as a general rule the smaller the car in size and engine capacity, the cheaper it’ll be to run. Invest in a What Car mag. or similar which gives consumptions, sizes, insurance groups, exhaust emissions, etc.

Well the Audi A2 1.4 diesel does 60-70 MPG.

The Renault Megane is £50 a year to tax and does 60MPG.

All this is great, but have you thought about how a car fares in an accident?
