If you are inexperienced in the dating world or just simply lack confidence, talking to women can be very intimidating. It is hard to know exactly what to say and how to behave. You certainly do not want to offend her. However, at the same time, you do not want to come across as stiff and boring. You want to be witty, clever, charming and sophisticated.
Well to be honest with you, if you think like that, then you are probably going to come across as giant stiff. Talking to women is not hard. You just need to relax and feel confident. A few simple tips will most certainly come in hand during your quest to be the next Romeo.
Talk Like You Have Known Her Forever
We all have that one friend, or confidant, whom we feel especially comfortable around. Our conversations with that person are always smooth and have the right amount of give and take. It is never hard talking to this person. So, when talking to women, mimic this conversation. Pretend like she is you oldest dearest friend. Do not put her up on some pedestal, keep her on the same level, and you will be sure to feel at ease with her.
Be Witty
Let it all hang out. Be funny and clever. Do whatever it takes to make her laugh. A word of warning here, do not make fun of her or her friends, and try to avoid being crass. Other than that, everything is game. Make observational humor, or make fun of yourself. The key to talking to women is to make them laugh.
Ask Her Questions
Sometimes you just do not know what to say. Do not sweat this. It happens to everyone. So when it does happen, ask her questions. Do not do it rapid fire style. Instead ask a simple question like, how her job is or what is her all time favorite cartoon character. You can pretty much ask her anything, as long as it is relevant to the situation, and it is not creepy or weird. This will hopefully open the dialogue up and get the conversation going. It also will let you get to know her a little better, and that can only be helpful in the long run.
